Kristina Hagman - Painter and Printmaker

“It is a joy to work in the medium of wood, exploring ways to take advantage of the grain as I carve.”

Kristina Hagman, is a painter and printmaker who has been exhibiting work for 30 years. She has shown nationally and in Europe. For the last fourteen years she has been exhibiting in Seattle at the Jacob Lawrence Gallery at the University of Washington, Seattle University, Antioch University among others.

She studied at The University of New Mexico , the College of Santa Fe ,The Art Students League NYC and The Santa Fe Institute of Fine Art, where she worked with Bay area figurative artists, Richard Diebenkorn, Nathan Oliveira and Wayne Thiebaud .

Her current work is dominated by wood block print landscapes inspired by the Japanese master wood block artists and American wood block artist who were followers of Arthur Wesley Dow.
