Nancy Goodman Lawrence - Mixed Media Artist

In the past eleven years, I have created three bodies of work using maps. The works in this exhibit are part of my “Concentric Narrative” series. I begin with a perfect circle and cut tiny pieces of paper from strips, working in concentric circles toward the outer edges. I think of maps as beautiful artworks in and of themselves and enjoy the process of "lifting" pieces to put into another context.
